Our position
ALEC is an organization that advocates positions, just as Lobby99 does. Because Lobby99 advocates only on issues directly, there is nothing we can advocate regarding ALEC.
That said, there are differences between Lobby99 and ALEC.
o Lobby99's agenda is to advocate for policies that benefit the overwhelming majority of Americans. Legislation proposed by ALEC favors corporations - often at the expense of Americans. Even those that appear to support Americans, such as "Stand Your Ground" laws, are endorsed either directly or indirectly by gun manufacturers.
o Lobby99 is transparent and does everything we do in the open. ALEC does not.
o ALEC's main strength is money. Lobby99's main strength is an informed population.

Therefore, rather than advocating a position related to ALEC, we simply want to inform you of a way in which laws that affect you are being made by the people you elect to represent you.
