Your state representatives can accept or refuse Medicaid Expansion
Lobby99 focuses on your representation in the federal government. In the case of Medicaid Expansion however, the federal law already is in place. It is up to each state to accept it or reject it.
The federal government pays 90 percent of the cost of expanding Medicaid to a state. There effectively is just one significant difference between states that accept it and states that reject it...
o In states that reject it, millions of people living below the poverty level cannot receive this health care.
It is up to a state's legislature and governor to accept or reject the Medicaid Expansion. If you live in a state that has rejected it, you can contact your state-level representatives (and governor) and tell them that the way to represent the interests of the majority of your state's residents would be to accept Medicaid Expansion as soon as possible.
