Compare what your medical costs would be under a single-payer system to what you would expect to pay without it...
Keep in mind that the health care tax is based on your family's income, so your cost under the new system would cover your entire family.
Let your representatives know your thoughts
Once you understand how single-payer health care would benefit the overwhelming majority of Americans - both by ensuring them better health care and by saving them money - it is up to you to let your representatives know they are not representing your best interests if they do not actively pursue it.
