WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Lobby99 is a nonprofit that depends on the support of our readers.
If you found this useful, could we ask you to chip in a dollar or three to help us provide even more like this? Thanks!
It's secure and takes under a minute.
You can tell the CFPB your thoughts about the regulations
The CFPB must consider public comments before enacting these new regulations. You can let the agency know your thoughts through Oct. 7.

There can be future legislation regarding payday loans
This proposed regulation does not require action by Congress, so there is no short-term value in writing to your representative.
However, legislation still can address these issues - including limiting the amount of annual interest that can be charged for a loan. It is up to you to let your representative know your thoughts about how they can represent your interests and the interests of most americans (versus the interests of payday lenders).
