Public policies can't be perfect. If they could be, we wouldn't need elections any more. We'd all know what's best for everyone, and we'd do it.
But because they're not perfect, we vote for people to represent us by supporting policies that will help either us or the greatest number of people.
This is extra true for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Everyone has a different combination of income, family size, health status, risk tolerance, etc., so everyone will be affected differently.
Whether you will pay less for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, pay more, be able to receive quality health care for the first time, have more or fewer choices in doctors, or whatever, this article from Politico.com clearly lays out the tradeoffs with the Affordable Care Act.
